In the spring of 2025, Julie bought her first sailboat and, with no sailing experience at all, sailed it from Oslo to Stavanger. It was originally meant to serve only as student accommodation during her studies in Trondheim, but as the spring went on, she and her friend Emilie began to play with the idea of reaching Lofoten by sailboat that same summer. A few weeks later, they packed the boat with everything they owned and left their safe harbour in Stavanger. In early July, they reached Henningsvær, with a sailing journey they will never forget.

The voyage brought a steep learning curve for the two landlubbers, who had now put 650 nautical miles behind them. Back in Trondheim in the autumn of 2025, Emilie had to return to work and everyday life in Bergen, while Julie began her master's degree in Trondheim. Still, they couldn't quite let go of the sailing adventure and decided to share the joy and experience with others. They were soon joined by Vida, another young and adventurous aspiring sailor.
